My perception of a normal life inspired me to earn a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Trine University, a master's in regulatory science from University of Southern California, and have a rewarding career contributing to the safety and efficacy of medical devices that impact patients' lives.
That said, music and performing arts is a joyful part of my life as long as I can remember. I often find myself singing and dancing to celebrate the good times or using music therapy to help cope with heartbreaking moments in my life. Naturally, when I was going through a major life change, I found myself searching for comforting melodies and lyrics that share my story. One of the songs I listened to (and got emotional) every day for several months is one I'm very familiar with because it is a song by my mom's youngest brother, Martin Francisco, entitled 'You Ought to Know'. I connected with the lyrics so much that I reached out and asked if I can record a cover for this song (included in this album). Next thing I know, I was recording original songs written and produced by none other than my uncle, Martin Francisco!
My heart is filled with gratitude for all the love and support!
